Analyst, Project Control

The Analyst, Project Control is responsible for managing financial and operational aspects of projects, ensuring they stay within budget, and providing accurate financial reporting and analysis. Project Control and Reporting: • Financial Management: Oversee the financial planning and management of specific projects, including creating budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies. • Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly project financial statements and reports, providing insights on project performance and profitability. • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to provide timely and accurate financial information, assisting in decision-making processes. • Cash flow forecasting and project invoicing: Prepare project cash flow analysis and manage project billing. Monitor vendor payments and subcontractor billings as necessary. • Cost Control: Monitor project costs, investigate variances, and implement cost containment measures to ensure projects remain within budget. • Audit Support: Assist in the annual external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and compliant with standards. Team Leadership & Development • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Process & Controls • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets. • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk. Budgeting & Forecasting • Support the budgeting and forecasting process with accurate financial data. • Provide management with timely variance analysis and actionable insights. Compliance & Audit • Liaise with external auditors during the annual financial statement. • Maintain compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA or MBA preferred). • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Oracle NetSuite experience preferred. • Experience with construction/engineering/project management accounting (Percentage of Completion) preferred. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
