CA Litigation Associate; Remote Engagement
Position: CA Litigation Associate (Remote, Full Time, Engagement) Latitude Legal is partnering with a boutique San Diego-based law firm to find a rising litigation star. Position Overview The firm is seeking a California-licensed Litigation Associate with at least 2 years of experience, ideally in business or real estate litigation. Associates will receive direct mentorship and meaningful responsibility from day one: drafting dispositive motions, taking depositions, trial prep, and more. The role is engagement-based, offering hands‑on legal experience without a long‑term commitment. Ideal Candidate Profile • 2+ years of litigation experience • Background in business and real estate matters preferred • Experience with all aspects of pre‑trial litigation: legal research and writing, motions, depositions, hearings, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation • Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills • Excellent client interface capabilities • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in California • J.D. from an accredited law school • Outstanding references Position Details • Type of role: Engagement or Engagement to Hire • Schedule: Full‑time • Location: Remote Compensation and Benefits • Pay: $145,000–$200,000 annualized for full‑time basis; contract pay determined by experience, qualifications, location, and market factors. • Benefits: Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees eligible for full benefits when working at least 20 hours per week, including a qualified 401(k) plan, Group Life, LTD, AD&D, professional liability insurance, CLE, and a professional expense stipend.
