Your precision supports optimal billing practices, safeguards regulatory standards, and contributes directly to the delivery of high-quality patient care. You’ll collaborate closely with clinical teams to translate complex medical records into actionable data, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in healthcare. What You’ll Do Thoroughly analyze patient records, visit encounters, and reports to assign and sequence ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes accurately Proactively research and resolve pre-bill errors for outpatient and surgical billing, ensuring smooth claims processing Independently prioritize and manage workload with a keen eye for detail and deadlines Identify coding patterns and compliance issues and communicate them effectively to leadership Support clinic and billing teams with coding questions and denial reviews Uphold strict compliance with State, Federal, and insurance coding regulations Collaborate with cross-functional teams including managers, physicians, and coding specialists Take on additional tasks to help achieve department and organizational goals Who You Are A coding professional with CPC or CCS 3+ years of proven experience in coding, billing, and compliance—ideally within orthopedic or related specialties Possess specialized knowledge in sub-specialty areas such as spine, foot, and hand coding Experienced or willing to learn Epic EHR and practice management platforms Highly detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy in data entry A strong communicator and problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments Skilled at multitasking and managing time efficiently without sacrificing quality Committed to protecting patient confidentiality and sensitive information Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic office technology Additional Details Location: Remote in Virginia Verification: OrthoVirginia participates in eVerify Employment Contingencies: Successful background check, drug screening, and TB test required Ready to Advance Your Career?
