Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Content Moderator for Gaming Platforms to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging online environment for our gaming communities. You will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content, ensuring compliance with our community guidelines, and taking appropriate action when violations occur. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within Canada. Key Responsibilities • Review user-generated content, including text, images, and videos, across various gaming platforms and channels. • Enforce community guidelines, terms of service, and policies consistently and fairly. • Identify and escalate complex or sensitive content issues to senior moderators or relevant internal teams. • Maintain detailed records of moderation actions and content reviews. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of moderation processes and tools by providing feedback. • Stay informed about current trends in online content, gaming culture, and community safety. • Collaborate with community managers, customer support, and development teams to address community feedback and concerns. Required Skills • Proven experience in online content moderation, community management, or a related field (minimum 1 year). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (bilingualism is a strong asset for the Canadian market). • Strong understanding of online safety issues, digital ethics, and community guidelines. • Ability to make sound judgments quickly and consistently in ambiguous situations. • High level of empathy, discretion, and emotional resilience when dealing with sensitive content. • Proficiency with various content moderation tools and platforms. • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Linguistics, Sociology, or a related field. • Previous experience working for a gaming company or moderating gaming-specific content. • Familiarity with various gaming genres and online gaming communities. • Experience with data analysis and reporting on content moderation metrics.
