ABOUT THE ROLE Trustly is looking for a motivated and experienced gaming regulatory compliance leader to lead the development, implementation and management of our gaming regulatory compliance program as a service provider to various types of gaming operators. The successful candidate will be an expert in gaming regulations, ensuring that Trustly maintains a strong compliance program across all jurisdictions where it operates, navigating the evolving regulatory environment and supporting our continued growth. You’ll partner directly with business leaders, engage with regulators, and help us build a scalable and robust compliance framework that can grow with our business. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Develop, implement and enhance Trustly’s gaming regulatory compliance program, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, internal controls and training. • Represent Trustly in regulatory discussions, industry associations and compliance forums to stay ahead of trends in the gaming industry. • Proactively monitor and analyze changes to state and federal gambling regulations and licensing requirements and assess the impact on Trustly’s operations. • Oversee Trustly’s underwriting and enhanced due diligence programs for gaming merchants to ensure appropriate processes are in place to address the level of risk associated with the merchant’s operations. • Supervise the existing licensing manager to support all licensing needs, including applications, renewals, third-party due diligence questionnaires and responding to regulatory investigations and inquiries. • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with legal and the gaming go-to-market and product teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and compliance. • Conduct regular risk assessments, policy gap analysis and compliance reviews to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies in line with the Company’s risk appetite. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to license applications, compliance program and regulatory interactions. • Develop and deliver training programs to employees on relevant gaming regulations and compliance requirements • Serve as the subject matter expert on all gaming regulatory matters, providing guidance to business and product teams on Trustly’s compliance requirements for new products, markets or partnerships. • Develop and execute an annual compliance testing plan to assess the effectiveness of gaming compliance program related controls. • Provide regular reports, insights and communication on the state of the gaming compliance programs to the Chief Compliance Officer, senior leadership and board-level committees. • Perform additional special projects as needed by the Legal and Compliance teams. WHO YOU ARE • 10+ years of compliance, risk management or regulatory experience in the gaming industry, preferably with knowledge of requirements related to gaming vendors such as payment processors. • JD Required • Subject matter expertise in federal and state gaming laws and regulations and experience working with gaming regulators and industry bodies. • Proven ability to develop, implement and manage effective compliance programs • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. • Proactive with an ability to take initiative, problem-solve, make decisions and assume responsibility. • Strong ability to think critically, analyze complex data, challenge the status quo and make sound recommendations. $170,000 - $190,000 a year Applications for this role are accepted on an ongoing basis. SALARY RANGES IN US-BASED ROLE POSTING Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
