Your key responsibilities will include: * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Completing resets and revisions as directed * Assisting with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assuming web pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring orders, filling orders, and delivering orders to customers * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training preferred * Previous customer service experience in a retail or healthcare environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus: * Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare environment * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Experience with digital passport photo service and promotional photo products * Basic computer skills and familiarity with web-based systems * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register * Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
