About the Role As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch phone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug treatments. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless coordination and processing of new patient drug orders and reorders, verifying and updating benefits, and facilitating communication between patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams. You'll be the face of our organization, working closely with various stakeholders to resolve complex issues, address concerns, and ensure that our patients receive their medication on time. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and process new patient drug orders and reorders, verifying and updating benefits as needed. • Assist patients in interpreting and entering new or reorder prescriptions into our pharmacy data system. • Communicate with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve complex issues and address concerns. • Collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and facilitate the processing of orders with financial and clinical implications. • Monitor, identify, resolve, and escalate orders with records of sales or clinical issues in a timely and efficient manner. Required Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. • Active IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License. • At least one year of experience in a customer care role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone. • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications, with at least one year of work experience. • One year of PC keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and proficiency. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, having the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: • Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
