We're passionate about creating a workplace that fosters collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning. **A Day in the Life** As a Data Engineer on our Ring Data Warehouse team, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with business partners across various verticals, including Memberships, Deals, Reverse Logistics, Finance, and Product. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Gathering and discussing requirements from business partners to ensure that data ingestions address their needs and meet the highest standards of quality and cleanliness. * Building new data ingestions using a combination of local AWS services and internal Amazon devices. * Maintaining and improving existing data ingestions to ensure they meet evolving guidelines and corporate standards. * Developing and maintaining systems or tools for internal and external partner use to manage data. * Performing code reviews and ensuring best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams. **The Ring Data Warehouse Team** Our team is responsible for managing the unified data repository for Ring, acquiring and distributing data from various internal and external sources. This data is used by various partners, including Ring Product Design, Finance, Production Network, Advertising, Customer Service, and Sales Data. We're looking for talented individuals to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure. **Essential Capabilities** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. * Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and business needs. **Preferred Capabilities** While not required, experience in the following areas will be highly valued: * Experience with AWS services like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Fire Hose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions. * Experience with modern programming languages like Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS. * Experience with non-relational databases or data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, or column-family databases). **Work Environment and Culture** arenaflex is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that values collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.
