As a Payroll Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for assisting with the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with established payroll policies and procedures. You'll work closely with our payroll team to review time sheets, process wage computations, and maintain accurate payroll records. **Responsibilities** As a Payroll Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks: * Review time sheets, process wage computations, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies * Ensure compliance with established payroll policies and procedures * Verify hours worked and pay adjustments * Compute wages and deductions * Maintain and update payroll records * Produce, review, and upload quarterly reports for State and Government agencies * Pay weekly taxes * Positive pay/Direct Deposit/Pay Cards * W2 processing **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred * 1-2 years of experience in payroll data entry or a related field * Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-starter environment * Strong organizational and time management skills **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role: * Experience with payroll software and systems * Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations * Certification in payroll or a related field * Experience working in a team environment * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel * Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes * Strong organizational and time management skills **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
