Job Overview As a Software Development Engineer on our Sponsored Products Core Supply Infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for building large-scale, distributed systems that bridge the gap between advertiser demand and publisher supply on Amazon. You'll be developing a first-of-its-kind platform that will allow advertising programs across Amazon to provide customers with a coherent and holistic product discovery experience across organic and sponsored selection. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, with your work directly visible on the Amazon website, viewed by tens of millions of customers, and driving quantifiable revenue impact. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, distributed systems that drive Amazon's advertising business Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements Contribute across the full stack, growing and broadening your technical skills in an environment that thrives on creativity, experimentation, and product innovation Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code Work closely with product managers to shape our engineering and product roadmaps Experiment and innovate, leveraging Amazon's broad mandate to try new approaches and technologies Essential Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Strong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need: Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++ Experience with distributed systems, scalability, and reliability Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams A passion for innovation, with a willingness to experiment and try new approaches Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Amazon, you'll have access to a wide range of career growth opportunities and learning benefits.
