Financial Modeling Expert Needed for Comprehensive Analysis

Remote Full-time
Build decision-grade finance models for a fast-scaling, multi-state healthcare company We are a multi-state mental health group scaling aggressively through Zocdoc and paid acquisition. We’re looking for a hands-on financial modeling analyst to build a clean, decision-grade Excel model suite covering cash flow, debt, and—most critically—Zocdoc CAC/LTV by state. This is a fixed-price build, for $1,000 – $3,000 USD, not an hourly role. What You’ll Build (Clear Scope) You will deliver one integrated Excel workbook containing five distinct models: Cash Flow & Runway Weekly cash position Burn rate Runway (months) Debt & Leverage Outstanding balances Debt service DSCR Credit utilization Zocdoc CAC / LTV / Payback (Most Important) Spend → Intakes → Retained Clients → Sessions → Profit CAC per retained client LTV based on take-home profit (not revenue) Payback period ROI Monthly cohort analysis Red / Yellow / Green flags by state Therapist Unit Economics Profit per therapist Break-even caseload Margin by state / license tier Forecast & Scenarios Base / downside / aggressive cases Sensitivity to Zocdoc spend, hiring pace, and fill speed Models must be clean, documented, and updateable with weekly exports. Who This Is For You’re a strong fit if you: Are excellent in Excel (clear structure, no spaghetti) Have built CAC/LTV or cohort models before Understand that profit ≠ revenue Can work with imperfect, real-world data Are comfortable making and documenting assumptions Prefer clear scope and ownership over hourly tracking Nice to have (not required): Healthcare, SaaS, or marketplace economics Paid acquisition channels (Zocdoc, Google Ads, etc.) PowerQuery or structured data workflows This Is NOT Bookkeeping Data entry Passive reporting PowerPoint finance If you need pristine data or constant supervision, this is not the role. Engagement Structure (Read Carefully) Fixed-price build Expected budget range: $1,000 – $3,000 USD Milestone-based payments Clear acceptance criteria Optional ongoing maintenance (separate agreement): Fixed monthly fee Light weekly refresh + flagging only Cancel anytime ✅ What “Done” Looks Like At acceptance, the models must allow us to answer, immediately: “Is Zocdoc profitable in state x right now?” “What is our current runway?” “What happens if we cut Zocdoc spend 30% in a given state?” “Which states are scaling efficiently vs destroying margin?” If those questions can’t be answered from the workbook, it’s not done. Expectations: We will hand you -Previous, unfinished/finished models -Raw financial data from various sources -Previous analysis -Models from ChatGPT Your job is to -Integrate raw data and older models -Get rid of unhelpful data/models -Map an easy to use pathway from data to updated models. We want to feed the models new data and have it update without additional work Task Estimated Effort Understanding the business, data sources, and modeling rules 5–8 hrs Designing overall model architecture and structure 8–12 hrs Zocdoc attribution, cohort analysis, and CAC/LTV logic 20–30 hrs Therapist unit economics modeling 8–12 hrs Cash flow, runway, and debt integration 10–15 hrs Back-testing, validation, and revisions 10–15 hrs Documentation, assumptions, and handoff 5–8 hrs Total Estimated Effort 70–90 hrs Use of AI / ChatGPT We expect candidates to use AI tools (including ChatGPT) to work efficiently. That’s encouraged. However, this role is not about generating formulas. It’s about judgment and decision-grade modeling. AI may be used for drafting formulas, layouts, and documentation. You are responsible for model structure, assumptions, data integrity, validation, and accuracy. If outputs are misleading or wrong, the accountability is yours—not the tool. We value candidates who know how to use AI well and when not to trust it. How to Apply Apply or message directly with: A brief note on relevant modeling experience Your fixed-price quote within the stated range Acknowledge that the timeline is adequate and work will be done in time Acknowledge you will provide enough back and forth with the models until the job is done to our satisfaction Optional: a sanitized model or dashboard you’ve built Apply tot his job
