They are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team, responsible for preparing tax returns and compilation engagements while building effective client relationships. Responsibilities Prepare compilation engagements, in addition to corporate tax returns for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit enterprises Building effective working relationships with client contacts and responding effectively to client requests Preparation of trust returns and trust working papers Preparation of tax returns (T1s, T2s, T4s, T5s,GST/HST and charity returns) Ensuring that all significant engagement matters are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager/Partner, as well as keeping them informed of the progress of the engagement Following up with appropriate government agencies on questions relating to payroll, assessments, GST, business numbers, etc Skills Currently working towards your CPA designation You have a degree and/or diploma in accounting, finance or relevant field You have 1+ years of accounting experience in the public accounting industry or relevant work experience You have experience with compilations, and preparing tax returns You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills Benefits Flexible benefits from day one Market leading personal time off policy Reimbursement for wellness initiatives that fit your lifestyle Company Overview BDO is a professional services firm that serves clients of all sizes in virtually all business sectors.
