Intern, Professional Flight - Flight Operations (Summer 2026) - Full-time

How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) A Flight Operations (Flight School) intern will assist in achieving divisional goals and contributing to the overall success of Delta Air Lines. Interns will be working with a specific team such as but not limited to Training and Standards, Line Operations or the Chief Pilot Office . While each intern will be assigned individual duties, all interns are expected to work as a team to complete a team assignment that will be presented to Flight Operations Leadership at the end of the semester. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about other departments, such as but not limited to Flight Safety, Operations Customer Center, Technical Operations, In-Flight Service, and Airport Customer Service. This is a paid internship, including additional privileges such as standby travel anywhere in the Delta system while off duty. This is not a remote position, Interns will work on-site at Delta's World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. + Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. + Possess excellent communication skills, be able to process complicated issues quickly, and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. + Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, Forms PowerPoint, and Smartsheet. + Must demonstrate competency in skills that include, but are not limited to, managing, and working training equipment, the collection and analysis of flight planning data, reading and summarizing new regulations, and the ability to quickly relate to the advanced jet environment. + Have a competitive GPA and be in good academic standing with your university. + Must be able to work onsite in the Atlanta, GA office. + Must be able to commit to the duration of the internship timeline: May 2026 through July 2026. + Working as an intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce. + Should have a minimum of 150 total flight hours required, actively pursuing either a Commercial Pilot Certificate or a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI). + Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an aviation discipline.
