The California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is seeking an IT Analyst to provide comprehensive technical support and IT services to its staff. The role involves diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues, managing service tickets, and contributing to the design and deployment of new IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities Providing comprehensive technical support and IT services to the staff of the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) Diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and enterprise software solutions Providing Tier I and Tier II support, managing service tickets, and escalating issues when necessary Contributing to the design, testing, and deployment of new IT solutions, with a focus on improving efficiency, reliability, and user experience across the organization Skills Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov. The SOQ must be in 12 point font, single-spaced and no more than 2 pages in length. The SOQ must address the following in numerical order; do not consolidate responses: Based on review of the duty statement for this position, describe how your education, knowledge, and experience would qualify you for this position. Provide a comprehensive, step-by-step onboarding process for a new employee that includes all the necessary IT procedures; the creation of the user's Microsoft 365 account, the assignment of appropriate roles, permissions, and licenses within the Microsoft 365 environment, imaging software used to prepare the new hire laptop, details on how the device is imaged, and the steps involved in deploying the laptop to the employee.
