IT Project Manager Gary, Indiana (4 days remote 1 day onsite)

Position: IT Project Manager || Gary, Indiana (4 days remote 1 day onsite) Location: Gary, Indiana Duration: 12 + month project Visa: Any Visa Job Description Must be able to handle multiple multi-year projects with budgets from $500k - 1.5 M. Must be able to be onsite at least once a week and as needed. Must have a DL to visit nearby US Steel sites. Interviews: 1st is virtual, 2nd onsite Local only Hiring Manager Notes: Working on projects impacting all plants. Software development, networking, infrastructure (wireless), desktop. Need to be well rounded in app dev and infrastructure. Will be main PM to interact with all projects across all facilities -- working with an IT lead at each location to get scope of projects. Do not need previous manufacturing industry expereince. Must understand the setting is dirty and PPE will be required at times. Normal attire is business casual but will need to wear orange suit, ear plugs, glasses, steel toed boots when at plants. Must have excellent communication skills as they will communicate with executives. Job Description: Work directly with clients to drive a program from initiation through delivery. Responsibilities include providing daily support for managing delivery of project tasks, activities, milestones and resources, developing, maintaining, and managing project requirements, plans, timeline, issues, risks and challenges, supporting Senior Associates and Managers to drive a large program or multiple projects, working closely with clients to identify business change and driving the consensus necessary to adopt a manageable change strategy, managing large programs and complex projects involving multiple parties/organizations with conflicting agendas and business priorities. Manages budget for assigned project(s), develops and monitors project/program plan(s), and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Aligns business unit, technical development and support organizations. Establishes program communication plan across the businesses, regions, support and technology groups.
