Position Overview: The Medical Coding Specialist will be responsible for accurately coding patient visits for insurance purposes, specifically in the telehealth space. This role requires strong attention to detail, up-to-date knowledge of medical coding standards, and excellent English communication skills for collaboration with both the clinical and administrative teams. Key Responsibilities: - Review telehealth visit documentation to assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes. - Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and payer-specific guidelines. - Work closely with providers to clarify documentation and coding requirements. - Submit accurate coding information for billing and insurance claims. - Stay current on telehealth coding changes, regulations, and best practices. Qualifications: - Proven experience in medical coding, preferably in a telehealth setting. - Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) strongly preferred. - Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines. - Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). - High attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance standards. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
