What you will do • Process new prescriptions, refills, and discontinuations with a high level of accuracy • Maintain complete and compliant patient medication profiles • Respond to high-volume inbound calls from hospice partners, prescribers, and clinical staff • Triage and resolve routine service inquiries, escalating complex issues appropriately • Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and active listening • Apply de-escalation techniques when supporting urgent or emotionally sensitive situations • Meet service level, quality, productivity, and documentation standards • Utilize pharmacy systems and internal tools to manage workflows and document activity • Identify service issues and partner with operations leadership on resolution • Participate in training, system updates, and continuous improvement initiatives What we look for • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare setting. • A detail-oriented pharmacy technician who values accuracy and compliance • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a calm, empathetic approach • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, call-driven environment • Experience working with pharmacy systems, patient records, or workflow platforms • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to problem-solve efficiently • Comfort handling sensitive patient and clinical information confidentially • Adaptability to changing processes, systems, and priorities • Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation standards • A collaborative team player who partners effectively with pharmacists and peers Why IPU Technicians are important Non-Dispensing Pharmacy Technicians are the backbone of our hospice pharmacy operations.
