About the position Responsibilities • Foster a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible work environment. • Develop and lead efforts to secure new policy frameworks and funding for wildlife corridors and crossings. • Utilize state and federal policy tools to lead campaigns protecting rivers and wetlands. • Support partner coalitions to secure climate-informed conservation outcomes in public land management plans. • Cultivate and manage relationships with partner organizations, scientists, Tribal nations, government representatives, and elected officials. • Represent Pew in government meetings, coalition meetings, conferences, and events. • Steward funding agreements with partners to achieve conservation goals. • Participate in activities supporting program and Pew-wide objectives. Requirements • Skilled in informing and influencing audiences through written and oral communications. • Experience leading or managing public policy initiatives. • Experience cultivating and managing stakeholder coalitions to advance policy objectives. • Ability to apply a non-partisan, evidence-based approach to projects and campaigns. • Excellent time and project management skills. • Highly flexible with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and adjust to changing circumstances. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. • Generally, eight years of applicable experience. Nice-to-haves • At least two years of campaign experience including legislative, ballot initiative, electoral, or policy objectives. • Experience developing relationships with elected officials and agency officials. • Experience supporting shared goals with traditionally disadvantaged communities, preferably Tribal communities. • Proficiency in public speaking.
