Overview: Principal IT Engineer possesses a deep expertise in ERP (Acumatica) and proven experience across modern application development, cloud platforms, and enterprise integrations. This role will be the technical authority for Acumatica while also driving architectural direction for customer-facing applications, cloud services, and data platforms. As a Principal Engineer, this role will define technical strategy, design scalable solutions, and mentor engineering teams to ensure our ERP and digital applications evolve in alignment with business growth and innovation. Responsibilities: Enterprise ERP & Application Architecture • Own the Acumatica ERP technical roadmap and ensure seamless integration with customer-facing applications, cloud services, and data platforms. • Partner with product, business, and IT leadership to translate strategic goals into scalable, secure, and resilient technical solutions. • Define architecture patterns and development standards spanning ERP, web applications, and cloud platforms. Solution Design & Development • Lead design and development of ERP customizations and integrations using Acumatica xRP Framework, C#, .NET, SQL, and APIs. • Drive front-end application development using Angular (or React), modern UI frameworks, and responsive design practices. • Build cloud-native services and integrations on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) leveraging APIs, microservices, and serverless functions. • Architect and optimize data persistence across SQL Server, NoSQL databases, and ERP data models. System Optimization & Reliability • Oversee performance, scalability, and security of Acumatica and front-end applications. • Lead ERP upgrade planning, patch management, and enterprise release strategies. • Ensure compliance with IT governance, data privacy, and business continuity standards. Leadership & Mentorship • Serve as a cross-domain technical leader, mentoring developers and analysts across ERP, cloud, and front-end teams. • Manage relationships with Acumatica, ISVs, system integrators, and technology partners. • Promote agile engineering practices, DevOps automation, and continuous delivery. • Perform other duties as assigned This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications: EDUCATION Min/Preferred Education Level Description Minimum 4 Year / bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications.
