Note: Effective 1 December 2024, Production Key II residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of $15 per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered. Key Responsibilities: Assists lead in preforming essential functions of two or more lines of production. May assist with on-the-line training of new hire processors. Clean, sort, and prepare various types of seafood for processing, following established procedures and safety guidelines. Remove shells, scales, bones, and other unwanted parts from seafood products using specialized tools and equipment. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including equipment, processing tools, and storage areas. Follow proper handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and maintain product freshness. Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, working in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols. Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly. Adhere to all food safety regulations and industry standards to ensure the production of safe and high-quality seafood products. Additional Responsibilities: Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. More information can be found at Minimum Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before A minimum of one (1) year of experience in food processing, seafood processing, or a related field. Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle and process seafood efficiently. Basic math skills to accurately weigh and measure seafood products. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines. Strong hygiene practices and knowledge of food safety regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production quotas while maintaining quality standards. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Preferred Qualifications: HS Diploma or equivalent May preform task such as forklift driver, crane operator, fish grader, driver, scanner, truck driver. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds frequently up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
