Production Support Engineer II, SAS Viya AML
CIBC US is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world and is seeking a Production Support Engineer II for their US Risk Technology team. In this role, you will support the anti-money laundering (AML) platform using SAS Viya, manage application and database support, and oversee production changes while collaborating with various stakeholders. Responsibilities Application Support – investigate application issues; prioritize incidents based on impact and severity. Identify root causes and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. Apply IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices for incident, change, and problem management Database Support – write complex SQL queries; troubleshoot extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines Cloud Computing – manage Linux virtual machines and a PostgreSQL database hosted on Microsoft Azure Release Management – oversee production changes affecting CIBC’s SAS Viya AML platform, including bug fixes and version upgrades Service Continuity – perform disaster recovery tests Collaboration – build trusted working relationships with business stakeholders, technology partners, and external vendors Communication – express technical concepts to non-technical audiences with precision and clarity Continuous Learning – stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, changes in the banking industry, and regulatory developments Skills At least 1 year of experience in an application support role Experience with Linux virtual machines Writing complex SQL queries Technical familiarity with cloud computing (preferably Azure) Strong communication skills Ability to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment Experience with SAS Viya Relevant certifications Experience with Microsoft Azure Benefits Medical Dental Vision Health Savings Account Life Insurance Disability Other Insurance Plans Paid Time Off (including Sick Leave, Parental Leave, and Vacation) Holidays 401(k) Banking benefits A benefits program A vacation offering Wellbeing support MomentMakers, our social, points-based recognition program Purpose Day; a paid day off dedicated for you to use to invest in your growth and development.
