[Remote] Disability Calculation Analyst

The Disability Calculation Analyst will be responsible for calculating and coding offsets, informing plan members of overpayment amounts, and collaborating with case management teams to strengthen financial results. Responsibilities Calculate and code offsets and the adjusted LTD benefit in Navigator Inform Plan Member of the overpayment amount with clear explanations both verbally and in writing Follow-up with Plan Member for reimbursement of overpayment and negotiate an acceptable repayment plan when necessary Proceed with claim recoveries in Navigator Collaborate with the Case Management teams to strengthen financial results Work closely with other colleagues to prioritize work especially during peak times Skills Strong customer service focus; ability to be empathetic while delivering sometimes difficult messages Strong math skills Very comfortable with Office 365; most notably Excel and Word Able to read and interpret group insurance contracts and apply their provisions Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written Strong negotiation skills Experience with Navigator is an asset Experience in disability benefit calculations is helpful Open to change and continuous improvement A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure Benefits Health, dental, mental health, vision, short- and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance coverage, adoption/surrogacy and wellness benefits, and employee/family assistance plans Various retirement savings plans (including pension and a global share ownership plan with employer matching contributions) Financial education and counseling resources Generous paid time off program in Canada includes holidays, vacation, personal, and sick days Full range of statutory leaves of absence Company Overview Manulife is a leading international financial services group that helps people make their decisions easier and lives better.
