[Remote] Jr./Mid Level Python API Developer, AWS, Lambda Typescript 100% Remote 12+ Month Contract $45/hr W2

Zeektek is seeking a motivated Junior Python Developer with hands-on experience in Python development, AWS Lambda, and backend API integrations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the engineering team to build, maintain, and enhance serverless applications, ensuring secure and scalable backend services. Responsibilities • Develop, test, and maintain Python-based backend services and AWS Lambda functions. • Integrate third-party APIs and internal services to support application functionality. • Collaborate with team members on designing scalable, secure, and efficient serverless architectures. • Implement and follow best practices for security, coding standards, and deployment in AWS environments. • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend code for performance and reliability. • Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes. • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team. Skills • 1-3 years of professional experience with Python development • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures • Familiarity with TypeScript and API integration (REST/GraphQL) • Understanding of backend security best practices and secure coding principles • Experience working with cloud services (AWS ecosystem preferred: S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.) • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills • Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git) • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (optional) • Exposure to monitoring, logging, and performance optimization in serverless applications Company Overview • Zeektek is an IT recruiting and solutions firm.
