[Remote] Junior DS (Distribution Systems) Engineer

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Junior level DS (Distribution Systems) Engineer to help support their BIM contract. This role involves providing technical expertise to modernize network design and implementation for multiple Air Force and Space Force bases globally. Responsibilities Execution - Coordinate with Government Points of Contact (POCs) to coordinate design, installation, base access, clearance, escorts, personnel and equipment to ensure project tasks can be completed on time Stakeholder Communications – assist the PM with ensuring clear, consistent, timely and accurate communications are maintained with internal and external project stakeholders Technical support – provide input into the distribution systems design (ISP/OSP) and technical recommendations to the program and operation teams Leadership – Lead small implementation teams or manage specific work scopes for a given AF/SF base Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects Develops technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting Perform detailed technical services on assigned tasks Conducts planning and provides recommendations on task workload Provides input into risk tracking process Attends customer meetings and serves as primary network engineering liaison Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff Coordinates development of deliverables and products Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned Participates in special projects as required Reviews project requirements and develop strategies for future work Skills Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Secret Clearance Level Must Be Able To Obtain: Secret Job Family: Field Service and Support Skills: Cabling, Field Service Engineering, Network Infrastructures, Site Surveying Experience: 2 + years of related experience US Citizenship Required: Yes Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position.
