[Remote] Part-time Instructional Designer (Canvas LMS) — 1099 Contractor
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Katz School of Science and Health is seeking an early–mid career Instructional Designer for a part-time 1099 contractor role. This position focuses on hands-on Canvas LMS configuration and faculty support for graduate-level courses. Responsibilities • Build and configure Canvas courses, including modules, assignments, quizzes, and gradebook setup • Partner with faculty to translate learning goals into effective module structures and navigation • Apply accessibility best practices (alt text, captions, and page structure) • Enhance content using Articulate Rise and troubleshoot Canvas workflow issues Skills • Practical experience in instructional design or educational technology support (Higher Ed preferred) • High proficiency in Canvas LMS: ability to build a course shell into a polished, student-ready site • Strong written communication and comfort working directly with faculty • Availability aligned with Eastern Time for collaboration Company Overview • Katz School of Science and Health is a higher educational platform.
