Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BURGEON IT SERVICES is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Modeler specializing in the electric utility domain. The role focuses on designing and managing enterprise-level data models to support critical applications, ensuring data accuracy, scalability, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities • Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise systems. • Work extensively with GE AEMS systems and MMS for data integration and modeling. • Develop and maintain ETL workflows for data extraction, transformation, and loading. • Collaborate with database administrators and application teams to ensure data consistency and integrity. • Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and compliance with industry standards. • Perform data analysis to support business intelligence and reporting needs. • Document data models, metadata, and data dictionaries for internal and external stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data governance policies. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data professionals. Skills • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Minimum 10 years of experience in data modeling and data architecture roles. • Proven expertise in working with GE AEMS and GE MMS. • Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, PowerDesigner), and ETL frameworks. • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and time-series databases (OSIsoft PI, InfluxDB). • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Familiarity with electric utility operations and SCADA systems. • Knowledge of big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-based data solutions. • Experience with data governance, data quality, and master data management. • Ability to manage large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
