School based mental health counselor

We partner with K12/Stride Schools to support the emotional and behavioral well-being of students across multiple states. We are currently hiring licensed mental health professionals who are passionate about working with school-aged children (K-12th) and adolescents in a virtual setting. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work remotely, while making a real impact on students' lives. Role Description • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' IEP goals • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student success. • Attend IEP meetings Experience • Proven experience working with children in a counseling or educational setting is preferred. • Familiarity with behavioral health practices and case management processes is highly desirable. • Experience in individual or group counseling • Knowledge of medical documentation standards related to student health records. • Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds. • telehealth therapy Qualifications • Current state licensure in (Florida and/or Texas). • Experience working with school-aged children or in school settings • Comfortable using secure virtual platforms for therapy (e.g., Zoom, Teams,etc) • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and accurate documentation • Reliable internet connection and HIPAA-compliant work environment What We Offer • 100% remote teletherapy work • Flexible scheduling – (8am-4 pm) • Part-time or full-time caseloads based on your availability • Competitive hourly pay as a 1099 contractor • Supportive and collaborative team culture Join us in making a difference in the lives of our students by providing essential support as their School Counselor.
