About the position The Senior Strategic Finished Goods Planner at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is responsible for optimizing inventory levels, facilitating the procurement process, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to the distribution center. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts, coordinate new product introductions, and improve operational efficiency while supporting locations in Loveland, CO, and San Jose, CA. Responsibilities • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, monitor, and refine accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and customer insights. • Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to assess capacity, inventory levels, and production capabilities. • Coordinate with engineering, product development, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure smooth execution of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. • Participate in sales and operations meetings, offering recommendations to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. • Provide detailed reports and insights to management, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in demand and supply planning. • Foster strong cross-functional relationships and effective communication channels to facilitate coordination and alignment between sales, operations, finance, and other stakeholders. Requirements • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or Master's degree with 3+ years' experience in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. • Proven experience in material planning, supplier management, sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain analytics. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets. • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, statistical analysis software). • Agile communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders. Nice-to-haves • Previous experience in evaluating supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability. • Experience in monitoring stock levels to ensure sufficient inventory is available to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and scrap.
